CalmSky consumer health data policy

CalmSky helps people with a fear of flying, so some of what you tell us is about your health. This policy covers that data: what it is, why we keep it, who holds it for us, and how to see it, stop it or delete it. It is our consumer health data privacy policy under Washington’s My Health My Data Act and similar state laws (such as Nevada’s and Connecticut’s), and it covers health information under Australia’s Privacy Act. Our privacy notice covers everything else.

The short version.

Who we are

CalmSky is made by AppStudio Australia Pty Ltd. Write to us at [email protected].

When we ask, and what happens if you say no

Who holds it for us

We share your health data only with the companies that run CalmSky for us, only to do that, and under contracts that stop them using it for anything else. We do not share it with anyone else, and never with advertisers.

Advertising. Meta and Google receive none of the data this policy covers: not your answers, not your triggers, not your check-ins. When you arrive from one of their ads, they do learn that you visited CalmSky and whether you bought; the privacy notice explains that and your choices. Analytics. Plausible counts, anonymously, which parts of flying people pick in the preview. It sets no cookies and keeps nothing that identifies you, so those counts can’t be linked back to you.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have a CalmSky account, so your progress is there when you come back. If you ask us to delete it, we do so within 30 days, including the copy that travels with your payment at Stripe, and we tell the companies that hold it for us to delete it too. Backups roll over within a further 30 days.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can:

Email [email protected] from the address you use for CalmSky (so we know it’s you) and say what you’d like. It is free, and we will never treat you differently for asking. We answer within 45 days; if we need longer, which is rare, we tell you why within those 45 days and take at most 45 more.

If we say no, you can appeal: reply to our answer with “appeal”, and we will look at it again from the start and answer within 45 days, with our reasons. If we still say no, you can contact your state’s attorney general; in Washington, at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint. In Australia, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who holds it, we update this page first, and in the app we ask you again before saving anything under the new terms.

Effective 29 September 2026.
